| Cape Fear River empties into the Atlantic, and the influence could be felt as there was a periodic swell besides the chop that you can see in this picture. The river is dredged deep as there is a lot of commercial shipping. This ferry is carrying cars and folks across the river, as I don't think there are any bridges on the southern part (big river). |
